Summer in St. Pons (Languedoc)

This summer we spent about 6 weeks at our house in St. Pons, Michael built some kitchen storage and put up a ceiling and I painted....a door and some shelves! As per usual the art materials came out on one occassion and I did do some flowery doodles and as per usual I had great plans to go out and sketch the historic doorways of the village - or at least photogragh them for working on later. It didn't happen, it was just too hot, best weather since the 2003 heatwave, averaging 30 degrees for day after day. Had a trip to Lodeve for the Bonnard exhibition, was very dissappointed there were really only 2 works I really admired, the regular exhibit of 20th. century artists was much more inspirational.
