What's Freddie Mercury doing in the Alps?

Snow is looking lovely on the Grande Terche webcam, http://www.valleedaulps.com/ but I don't think we'll be back until the summer, I've booked to be there when the Tour de France passes through Morzine at the start of July, so more about that later.

I was over last year at the end of March for a short walking holiday but the snow was still very good at that time so although we walked Montriond/Ardent and up in the hills above Les Gets it was difficult enough. An easier dander was along the lake shore path from Chillon to Montreux where you'll find Freddie, he used to live and had a recording studio there.
