WILD FLOWERS (Languedoc)

I was  totally astonished by the variety and profuseness of wild flowers in the hills above St. Pons de Thomieres when I arrived there in June, these specimens and many, many more where probably photographed within 20 minutes walk of our house. I arrived home with cuttings, bouquets and seeds (and sketches and paintings) but none of my cuttings rooted in water and time will tell if any seeds propagate where I threw them on the soil in the garden, (they survive in ridiculously hard conditions in the wild, so I wasn't going to mollycoddle them). Will add more photos later.
