KLEGERREC OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT (BRITTANY)

It's actually Kerguehennec, even though we have visited it several times over the years I can not get the name to stick in my head, it begins with K ends with 'ec' and there's a 'g' in between somewhere, is the best I can do.
I may have written about it before?
We visited at the request of no.1 son , even though he'd only recently been there on European heritage day when he'd 'enjoyed' an interpretive dance display (we have a love/hate relationship with interpretive dance) but it had been too busy for him to get in to see the visiting exhibition, therefore the swift return.  Unfortunately it was the last day of the exhibit and we arrived just as it closed for lunch and a walk (very enjoyable)  in the grounds couldn't entertain us until it reopened, and we had other fish to fry anyway.
I'm sure I am repeating myself writing this, (should have searched the blog first), the grounds house several pieces of sculpture; wood, metal, stone of varying scales and make for a very pleasant tour around the park of the Chateau. Some we remember and some were new, easily remembered are the 2,000 (I think there are) red flower pots in the glasshouse - red things do stick in the mind.

This also prompted me to fill a sketchbook page, complimenting the colours of the previous entry...

It was a lovely day and we have been amusing ourselves recently with leaf catching - little amuses the innocent. I had asked sroglet (a.k.a no.1 son) had he remembered coming home from early days in primary school and telling us catching a falling leaf was a guarantee of good luck? We had then pranced around a park in Hillsborough (Northern Ireland) with this 5 year old failing to do what had seemed a very simple task. 23 years later, older and not the slightest bit wiser we took up the challenge again a few days previously and again staggering failed. Today the older and wiser son proved that he was indeed so, by not trying to catch but adopting zen like demeanour and waiting for the leaf to come to him, of course because 'he is ALWAYS right' it worked.

Falling leaves - just wait - be as one with nature.

The autumn colours were beautiful.

The teddies climbing into the pot, I didn't pay attention and find out the thinking behind this piece, so I have to insult the sculptor by saying I thought it was 'really nice'.
