BOOKED YOUR SUMMER HOLS YET? (Alps)

I bang on about this every year - The Alps are brilliant for a summer holiday.

The meadows are sumptuous with wild flowers.
The views are spectacular.
The air is pure and invigorating.
Cable cars are open so you only have to walk down - if you so wish.
Mountain biking is plentiful, exhilarating and fun.
There are lots of other sporty thing to do.
There are lots of unsporty things to do.
It's France, drink is cheap.
Food is good.
Who doesn't love a clanking cow bell?
Cruise Lake Geneva, go shopping, visit Switzerland - a grand day out.
Sit at a pavement café and watch the world go by.
Sketch and paint - everything, everywhere is a potential subject.
And the majority of people speak English if that's an issue for you.
Great for families of any age.

The Alps from Lake Geneva.
