ONWARDS AGAIN to the Languedoc

It's time to set off yet again to the Languedoc, knapsack almost packed (traveling lighter and lighter) unfortunately sans a new 'Aquamate' pen, my pen of choice for pen and wash sketching, they don't seem to exist anymore. I'm reposting some sketches I shared with you last month as they were a bit on the small side last time.

 

 

This was one of the last pages in the sketchbook and will make a good starting point for the next one as there are hundreds of interesting doorways in the area. Also the pencil drawing of the sculpture is an idea to develop - there are numerous marble sculptures in the hamlets around and about as they are produced in the 'un-biennial, biennial sculpture symposium' (it happens just a bit irregularly) by visiting artists from across the globe, so a tour around to sketch these in their new environments is another topic to pursue.
