FALSE ADVERTISING (Alps)

Very soon I can be penalised for false advertising as a corner of my personal map of France is about to fall off. Come the 7th. of September, at the latest, 3 corners become 2 as 'Le Nid', after 14 years in our ownership is sold.
3 corners becoming 2, that I guess is a straight line, 'A Straight line in France' as a title does have a certain bizarre ring to it, but I think I'll risk prosecution and stick with 3 corners....

Anyway as we settle down to full time (kind of) living in France many, many more corners will be explored. But for our last week in the French Alps we had a great time and have walked all the walks we wanted to, have had super weather and seen the place in it's best light, enjoyed a last pizza in 'Chez Pere Bill' and just sat and savoured the view we've spent many an hour looking at from our dining table.

Even a crane can't spoil a view like this.

Another stunner.

Looks a bit ominous, but we had a super walk just over the boarder above Morgins in Switzerland, venue for our 2nd and 3rd ski holidays back in 1986 and 87 when we first fell in love with the 'Portes du Soleil' area

 Les Dents De Midi

The idyllic Graydon valley, a 'short' walk from Grande Terche, 'happy memories' of nearly killing my then 82 year old Father by taking him on this walk, ooops.

Well that's that, we hope the new owners enjoy the place as much as we have and maybe make as much money as we have when they sell it a few years down the line!! Next winter is probably/possibly the Pyrenees, maybe a return to skiing in Andorra after 20 years or even the very southern French Alps, we can now go where and when the mood takes us.

P.S. we didn't half get some funny looks having ski bags and a sleigh on our car roof in 30 plus degrees heat in august.
