Cows (Brittany)

The Farm that surrounds our cottage 'Toad Hall' in Morbihan was a dairy farm up until last year, we loved our neighbours the cows (but definitely didn't love the flies that came with them) I can totally understand Ballymena artist Paul Bells endless fascination with cows and their personalities. We used to refer to the cottage as no.2 Death Row as the veal calves lived in the building beside us. Paul came to Dundonald Arts Club last year to demonstrate for us, a charming unassuming guy. Although I have done some doodly sketches of Rene's cows I've never done a painting of one, this guys too talented I'll not go there.
