Inspiration
Last weekend I was lucky enough to visit the workshop of local artist Paul O'Kane http://www.paulokane.co.uk/ who is a plein air artist and has refined the technique of travelling light as an artist to a sublime level. He maintains he can go out and paint with just 4 oil colours - so the challange has been thrown down! If it pours all week it'll be still life studies! but hopefully I'll pluck up the courage to take to the streets. I have gone off and sketched in the Languedoc countryside but as a woman alone I never feel teribly comfortable out in the wilds and like to keep near the car, when walking I keep to popular paths close to the town, which is where I discovered this...........
