The next phase of renovations will commence once the snow has cleared! yes we're talking about half an hour from the med here. This years project is the summer kitchen, the doorway will be widened to make it more accessable to the patio so when Michael's barbecue-ing away he'll not be hiden behind a 2 feet thick stone wall. The proper kitchen is just about done - this is Karl in front of its 'feature wall' back in 2003, you'll notice an absence of units, we inherited a kitchen comprising of just one sink base unit, made out of concrete painted orange!
Work on the house is somewhat like the knee bone's connected to the thigh bone i.e. we can't finish the chimney brest until additional support is put into the basement, which we can't do until the cellar floor is concreted, which we can't do until I move the debris of the demolished living room wall etc., etc.
