SKI APARTMENT HIRE 2011 (Alps)

Well considering the doom and gloom of the economy I have been very pleasantly surprised by the number of bookings for 'Le Nid' this year, many quite last minute so folk must be saying 'to hell with it lets take a break'. Property prices have fallen in France but not to the extent of Northern Ireland's plummet so our investment in 2004 was a wise move - we can hardly believe that we've spent 6 Christmases in Grande Terche. Before that we really enjoyed the buzz of hotels or catered chalets, meeting new people and being very social at Christmas, partying and being waited upon but in our old age it's great to be lazy slobs! We have all our little holiday rituals in place and each year our activities are dictated by the amount of snow, this Christmas day not a lot happened - that's a road out there in the photo so nothing was moving anywhere and we were snug as bugs in rugs.
