SNOWING (Alps)

Been snowing a bit the past few days and set to continue a bit over the weekend, good to see the lower Morzine slopes that run down into the town centre white again. Although unfortunately the daytime temperatures are still higher than normal, but with not a lot of traffic on the usually quiet January slopes the condition of the pistes will stay 0.K. for a bit. Why does nobody go skiing in January? when we were young and keen we always went away twice a year; one week in January and the cheapest week available in March. I can understand that when you start the year with all those lovely holi - days to fill your calendar it's nice to have them spaced about through the working year so gobbling them up 'toute suite' does make the rest of the year rather long and barren of fun.

Anyway there's still an opportunity before 14th February to visit 'Le Nid', flexible changeover days, so make the most of any bargain flights. Any 7 days in January at £230 (was £285) and in February £370. Will also do a discount for 5 or 6 nights. Contact me a.s.a.p. bacraig@btinternet.com
